How is Your Physical and Spiritual Training?

Posted by Allykat in , , , , , ,

How is your physical training going? Do you have a good exercise routine down and getting in shape for summertime?

Look to God for help on loosing weight and exercise too. God wants you to live a full happy balanced life. Time, there is never enough of it. Make exercise a priority and stick to your schedule. (Luke 12:22) Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear."

Be patient and love your body for it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Keep moving forward and don’t feel guilty if you slip up. (Isaiah 43:18) "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past..

Remember to keep working on your spiritual training it is of equal or more importance. Know the Word of God and be prepared to help others in need and spread the love of Jesus. (Timothy 4:8) For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

(1 Corinthians 9:25) Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Nice posting Allysha!

It has remembered & challanged me to keep my body & Spirit physically and spiritually trained.Recently I had stopped my exercises for somedays due to spiritual training(personal prayers with God).

I think Iam encouraged to re-start my gym and Jogging. As you quoted that our body is the temple of God.We need to keep it fit so that we may work for the glory of God.

However Iam convinced that this following passage of the posting has very much inspired me.

Well said Allysha...

I have heard that using your spiritual might can be exhausting. Being fit can make prayer and such that much easier.

Great post!
It seems like I'm always doing spiritual stuff like reading/praying/etc. and I neglect my body lately.
I will pray that God will allow me the time to excersize too and not eat a lot of sweets.
I find that the joy of the Lord really keeps me going, I always pray for His all-consuming passion inside of me!
